Thank goodness for that! What a boring drive. My dad prepared me for that, and having driven cross-country once before I did sort of remember how painful it is to sit through 6 or more hours of FARMS and XXX stores along the highway. I can't help but keep asking, "what do these people (other than farmers) do for a living and why would they live out here??" Ah well...to each his own I guess. We did see a few cool things, like this windfarm... Not sure politically how everyone feels about wind farms but you have to admit they are very cool looking.

We are now in Colorado Springs staying here for the night. We are in a motel at the base of Pike's Peak. The mountains are incredible and tomorrow we'll be a drive through a whole lot of them all the way to Utah and the north ridge of the GRAND CANYON.
I have yet to see this and am pretty excited about it.
I will hopefully have more to say and show tomorrow. Kansas was just flat, windy and tumble weeds flying around. The word PLAINS is very fitting trust me...plain
